Arts Council Grant

Newport Philharmonic Choir has received grant aid from The Arts Council for Wales.  The money is intended to help arts organisations whose income has been massively reduced as a result of the Covid 19 pandemic.   The Arts Council of Wales, have reallocated National Lottery funding from existing budgets to create an urgent response fund

Spring Ticket Sales Closed

Due to the Government advice issued today, tickets for our Spring Concert are no longer on sale. This concert has been cancelled, but we plan to return to the same music and perform it as an Autumn concert instead.

Newport Phil held its annual Christmas Dinner at the Masonic Hall on Monday 14th December. An excellent meal, a good turnout, and some fine entertainment (though we say it ourselves) contributed to a most enjoyable evening.

A successful concert was held at St Julian’s Methodist Church, Newport on Saturday 16th May. The choral programme consisted of works by Hubert Parry, J S Bach, W A Mozart, Robert Arwyn, John Joubert, John Taverner, John Ireland, Paul Basler, Eric Whitacre, Jerome Kern; with arrangements by Aaron Copeland, D Martyn Jones, Rowland Lee, G
